I steadfastly believe that anyone can heal when sufficiently supported in a counseling relationship. I am passionate about cultivating an accepting and confidential therapeutic environment with space for tears, laughter, and authentic connection. I love working with ages 10+ and have a heart for working with adolescents and their families as well as adults. Creativity, warmth, and authenticity are my core values in my approach to counseling.
I accept some major insurances and offer individual sessions out of network with insurance at a rate of $100 to $160 on a sliding scale based on income. Please inquire for more information, and see below for more information on insurances I accept.
With 7 years of experience in the mental health field, I am dedicated to supporting you in your mental health journey, whatever that may look like! My forms of self care include hot yoga, reading a good book (especially if it’s historical fiction), and being outside with my dog Yeti.
Whether you may be living with generalized anxiety, OCD, Panic Disorder, or phobias, I am dedicated to helping you find peace, flexibility, and growth with anxiety. I will collaborate with you on challenging anxiety’s narratives and building healthier interactions with anxiety. I also deeply enjoy working with how anxiety and perfectionism can intersect.
Trauma can have a profound impact on the way we see ourselves and feel safe in the world around us. I use a trauma-informed approach with clients to foster safety within the body so that you can begin the healing journey from trauma. I have formal training in Brainspotting and Internal Family Systems Therapy (additional detail provided below).
I deeply enjoy working with adolescents and their families. I have experience helping adolescents face their unique stressors including school challenges, relational changes, self harm /suicidality, bullying, and family dynamic concerns. I adopt a collaborative and confidential approach to ensure that adolescents and families receive the care they need.
Whether you are an adolescent or an adult struggling with seeing your value, dealing with a loud self-critic, or have self esteem that is impacted by trauma or body image, I am here to help you uncover your inner self-compassionate voice.
We experience hurt though relationship, and therefore we heal through relationship. I am here to build trust with you in our therapeutic relationship and help guide you through building healthier relationships and interactions with friends, family members, and coworkers. Our family of origin can have an impact on our relational experiences, and I am dedicated to going deeper with you to examine relational patterns.
I am passionate about improving accessibility to quality mental health care. I accept the following insurances:
Internal Family Systems is a therapeutic modality that approaches trauma through appreciation of the parts of us that have had to protect us throughout challenging experiences. I am trained in IFS therapy and use this modality to promote cohesion and communication between parts of us that may have been fragmented or shamed through traumatic experiences.
ERP and CBT are approaches used to address and treat anxiety and OCD symptoms. Anxiety and OCD thrive through avoidance of stressors. ERP involves structured behavioral challenges (with guidance and support of a therapist) that broaden one’s live and promote flexibility. CBT tackles the unhealthy or unhelpful thought patterns that accompany anxiety.
I often integrate the following approaches into other modalities that I practice:
Brainspotting is a trauma processing modality that uses focused mindfulness and processing of thoughts, memories, or beliefs associated with one’s traumatic experiences.
DBT has four components that are commonly used to work with self-harm, suicidality, or emotion disregulation. These components are mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance. Building safety within the body, with others, and flexibility with view of self and others are core components of DBT.
